Synopsis
A little bit dog, a little bit human, all hero. DreamWorks Animation returns with a film adaptation of the New York Times bestseller by Dav Pilkey, featuring the infamous crime-fighting dog: **Super Dog**. After both being injured at the same time, a loyal police dog and his police officer partner undergo a quirky but life-saving surgical procedure. However, the surgery causes their brains to merge, giving birth to Super Dog. With a vow to protect and serve, he also promises to fetch, sit, and roll over.
As Super Dog adopts his new identity and tries to impress his boss (played by Lil Rel Howery), he must thwart the evil plot of the supervillain feline, Petey the Cat (voiced by Pete Davidson). Petey's new plan is to clone himself by creating the kitten Lil Petey in order to double his criminal abilities. Things take an unexpected turn when Lil Petey forms an unlikely bond with Super Dog. When Lil Petey falls into the clutches of a common enemy, Super Dog and Petey begrudgingly join forces in a race against time to save the kitten. In the process, they discover the power of family (and kittens), which manages to unite even the worst of enemies.
